Amity Intra Parliamentary Debate Competition 2018

Welcome to Amity Intra Parliamentary Debate 2018, We are Proud to present a passionate debating environment on the foundations of free speech and critical thought, we provide a politically and religiously neutral environment to discuss world issues. 

Parliamentary debate has long been the predominant form of competitive academic debating in most colleges across India. It is now the most widely practiced type of intercollegiate debate and has become the first choice of students out of all academic events on the list. Training in debate improves valuable analytical and speaking skills and enables the discussion of important issues, whether scientific, historical, religious or political.

It contributes to the intellectual and ethical development of its participants by challenging them to make defensible judgments in which they must critically investigate complex issues, question given assumptions, evaluate the reliability of the motion and consider alternative perspectives.

Debate stimulates and refines communication skills that empower individuals to speak for themselves, to discover and use their own voices. But mostly attracts participation because it is fun. 

The debate committee of AMITY LAW SCHOOL has been a proud host of Amity Intra Parliamentary Debate from the past few years as an integral academic component.This year too we bring to you spirited debating and confidencebuilding , what should be an enjoyable holiday from the rigors of college for you and for us, through this competition.
